Kaho'okamamalu
Kaho'okamamalu will provide long-term housing for persons with special needs. Included in this definition are the physically disabled, persons with HIV/AIDS, and victims of domestic violence.

Admissions Policy
To be accepted as a resident of Kaho'okamamalu you must meet the following criteria:
1. Be an adult (18 years and older) of any age, sex or ethnicity.
2. Be able to provide for daily needs such as cooking, cleaning
and self-care.
3. Be highly motivated to live in the facility, comply with house
rules and policies, make a commitment to move forward in personal
growth and refrain from drug and alcohol abuse.
4. AND at least one of the following:
- Be physically disabled by these conditions: visual impairment, hearing impairment, orthopedic or functional impairment, absence or amputation of limb.
- Be diagnosed with the HIV/AIDS virus.
- Be enrolled in a Women Helping Women program for the past one year.
Rent:
Rent at Kaho'okamamalu is determined by HUD Section 8 and HUD HOME guidelines. Tenants
must meet income criteria as determined by these programs.
